A Little More About Us

We Are a responsible, non-smoking, animal loving couple who have owned a number of pets and homes over the years.

Julie has been a School Secretary/Bursar for most of her career and Jonathan has been a Leisure Centre Manager, Holiday Property Manager and School Swimming Teacher. For the past 15 years we have been running our own online travel consultancy business. Jonathan has looked after a number of holiday properties in the past which require anything from pool maintenance, regular cleaning, booking in guests to staff management and liaising with contractors.  We have high standards regarding cleanliness and we go above and beyond with our professional service. Owners will always return to a spotless home ready to relax back into.

We love to travel but miss having a pet of our own. We joined the pet sitting network, as we are now in the privileged position of being  semi-retired and financially independent. Entrusting your home and your pet to someone else is a big decision and we can totally assure you that both would be looked after as though they were our own.

Our Experience

We’ve looked after a variety of pets including lots of dogs and cats, fish, hamsters, chickens and guineafowl, a horse, a Kunekune pig and even a 40 year old tortoise. However our experience of animal care also extends to cows, sheep, rabbits, gerbils and the odd stick insect too! We are totally comfortable with all dog breeds including Rescue dogs, anxious and shy animals and pets of all sizes. We’ve looked after various large breeds including a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, St Bernard, Dogue de Bordeaux, Rottweiler, Doberman, Old English Sheep Dog and a German Shepherd/Pitbull Cross. We’ve also looked after small breeds too including Minature Dachshund’s, Chihuahua, Coton de Tulear and Cavapoo’s.

Our Service

We will make your pet sitting experience as smooth and relaxing as possible. Prior to confirming your sit we will arrange a video call, so that you can meet us and get to know us a bit more, let us know a little more about the pets and your home. Once we have confirmed the sit, we will ensure we have all the information we need before the sit start date. On your departure day we will arrive a little time before you leave to ensure a smooth handover. While you are away we will keep you updated with Whatsapp, text or email whilst your away, as much or as little as you like, to re-assure you that your pets and home are in safe hands and give you extra peace of mind.

We were both raised where pets were a big part of family life including dogs, cats, gerbils, mice, hamsters, rabbits, chickens and horses. This continued when bringing up our own four children, with more dogs, cats, rabbits, fish and even stick insects!

Now that our children have grown up and left the nest, our accommodation and travel plans mean we haven’t been able to have pets of our own for a few years now, so we travel the globe visiting new places, looking after some amazing pets.

It’s a real pleasure caring for them and winning their affection in return.  Flexible with our time, we are able to take on single or repeated, short or long term pets sits.

Pet sitting is an opportunity for us to see more of the world. However, we would like to re-assure owners that, during a pet sit we are 100% committed to looking after your home and animals, never abusing the trust you have placed in us. You can relax knowing your pets are getting lots of attention and company while you’re away. We do not ‘travel’ when we are ‘sitting’. Our days will always be with your pets. When we have completed a pet sit we take the opportunity to book a local hotel and explore the surrounding area in our own time.
