Early July took us to Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire where we had the pleasure of caring for Hector, a beautiful Fox Red Labrador Puppy, full of energy and ready to discover new things each day. The house was on the doorstep of some beautiful walks and only a 20 minute drive from some stunning scenery and fabulous forest walks which Hector loved.

We continued the owners training of Hector’s walking on the lead and re-call when off the lead. He was still teething too so we ensured he was occupied with chew toys when around the house.

Hector’s owners received regular updates by Whatsapp and photos of his adventures and days out with us to let them know that he was having a great time with us, we took him for regular walks in the forest and lots of walks in the fields near the house. Hector was an absolute joy to look after. We were delighted with the 5 star review left by Hector’s owner Tracey.

They are experienced sitters with excellent reviews and wanted to make sure our first experience was good. We felt like we’d made the right decision from the moment we met them. A lovely warm and friendly couple. We could tell they would take great care of Hector our red fox labrador and we weren’t disappointed. They sent us almost daily updates and photos. If we had wanted a total break that would have been fine too. Hector had a beautiful holiday of his own whilst we were away. They took him on lovely long walks every day. He went everywhere with them. He’s only 10 months old and wasn’t great on lead. They did lots of lead training with him. He’s much better at walking to heel now. They even made our bed for us as we were arriving home at 2am and they only left Hector at about 7pm as they had a 3 hour drive home. I honestly feel as though they are part of the family now and miss the daily contact. They looked after Hector as if he was their own dog and I would love to have them sit again. Thank you so much.
